I walk and draw and talk to passers by as I do. These are some recent images from the time of Covid19. I was becoming interested in material signs of life, people were taking to the woods, walking along beaches and avoiding town centres, but they were also making primitive constructions in hidden places, a feeling of anxiety no doubt driving a need to build protective structures. These drawings have yet to worm their way into the image bank, but at some time they will. It takes a while for things seen to become things imagined, but without time spent looking at the world and drawing it, there would be no food for the imagination.
