I draw whenever I have the space and time to do so. Drawing taps into my inner self and as images arrive they begin a conversation with me as to what they will become. It is this communication with pens, and inks and papers and other materials that allows my work to become what it has become. This process is one that allows me to translate into images what I have heard in conversations with people, or have read or thought about in response to life’s experiences. The less I think rationally about these things the more the images would appear to arise in interesting forms, the more I try I control the process the more predictable and less interesting the work becomes.
The images in this section are like the tip of an iceberg, a small selection from thousands that have wormed their way out into the light from under the shadow of my hand.
